Peter started singing and playing guitar, just for fun, at the age of thirteen when he was a great fan of The Shadows. However, it wasn't until he reached forty that he must have developed "a mid life crisis" and decided to become a professional entertainer - especally as though he had never performed even in a semi-professionally way before. Not knowing where to start, he got the telephone book (remember those!) found the Entertainment Agencies section, then a bit like "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" children's game, closed his eyes and picked a name. He made a phone call and the agent, without seeing him, gave Peter several bookings and the rest is history.

Over the years Peter's live appearances on stage as a singer broadened to include stand-up comedy which he embraced whole-heartedly and his act became highly popular throughout the UK. His musical repertoire down the years not only included material from musicals such as Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Carousel and Mack and Mabel, but songs from the "Rat Pack" era too. And he didn't forget his own roots so always made sure to include songs made popular by the many artistes that were around in the 60's, 70's and 80's.
Peter signed on with Model Marketing in Covent Garden and undertook several modelling assignments for them, most notably around Holland Park/Notting Hill area (see featured photograph as a "suave" man about town)! As well as performing in cabaret and undertaking numerous acting roles, Peter diversified even further when his television agent was approached by the South London Press Newspaper for him to become the "face" of their Astrological Column under the non-de-plume, Dominic Sutherland.
